Inflatable Stories December Flashback & CPC 2023

Hi Friends,

If you happen to be at Children’s Pastor’s Conference 2023, please come by and see me at the Reach Your City booth. We’ve been having an incredible time sharing about what we do with Children’s ministry leaders from around the country this week.

In the meantime, I thought I would take a moment to update you on the end of 2022. December was a huge month for Inflatable Stories with Christmas Nativity programs all the way from Georgia to Alaska. During the Nativity program, I use balloon sculptures, many of them pre-made, to bring kids into the story of Jesus Birth. Instead of just hearing the story, children play the parts of Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, even the star!

Elody did an incredible job playing Mary for one of this year’s Christmas Nativities in Indiana.

In some ways the month was a bit miraculous, especially as Christmas neared. While I was in Alaska, they saw some of the heaviest continued snowfall over a number days that they’ve seen in years. It was heavy enough that even Alaska flinched, but my gracious hosts in Wasilla and Palmer took incredible care of me and somehow I was never snowed in for long. More importantly, I was able to be on time and ready for each program. The final program of the year was in Sullivan, IN just as awful winter weather was beginning to ravage the country. I was honestly a little nervous, but we were blessed to see a wonderful crowd at the church that came to hear the Good News, and prayers were answered as I was able to make it safely to the airport and fly out with only a small delay the next morning.

A faithful crowd braved the beginnings of a blizzard to join us at Sullivan First Christian Church in Sullivan, IN. This incredible group made the effort to join us under rough circumstances.

I pray the holidays were a blessing for your church and that 2023 is off to an incredible start for you.

In Christ,
Dan
