Inflatable Stories April Update

June was the busiest month EVER for Inflatable Stories, and July is on track to match it. Wow! And I hope you have personally experienced the best aspect of that milestone: ministries around the country are finally able to fully engage again! It blesses my heart to know churches around the country see the value of bringing Inflatable Stories to their family and children’s events, but more importantly it demonstrates a busy nation full of ministry! After two summers during which churches across the world found themselves derailed by circumstances beyond their control, we are finally able to blaze ahead with all the wonderful ideas that have been growing. It’s a great reminder that God has been active before, is at work during, and will continue to move long after anything we may face.

One blessing of June was the opportunity to finally share for a children’s camp at Foothills Camp and Retreat Center in TN that was originally planned for the summer of 2020. Despite a heat wave, we found a way to keep the balloons cool and create an unforgettable worship experience for the kids. Maybe that sums up the busy month. Handling whatever hurdles came our way at amazing events developed by dynamic churches that are invested in their children. Camps, VBS weeks, kick-offs, finales, not to mention some fantastic family events: June was such an immersive month that I almost can’t begin to describe it.

And July is off to just as wonderful a start! As I write, I find myself having traveled coast to coast and all the way down to our southern border in the past 9 days. Churches very apart geographically but unified in the common purpose of sharing the gospel. Most recently I was able to share at Vital Church, and I was blown away by their hospitality. Even though I made a few gaffes while sharing (like forgetting my balloon pump in the green room—oof!), they were constantly gracious. And in the midst of that, I was blessed to share Christ, sometimes even across a language barrier. One thing I adored about their church was that people frequently greeted me saying, “God bless you.” At first it surprised me because it wasn’t a greeting I was used to, but over just a few days I’ve come to feel attached to it. So on that word I will leave you my friends. Thank you for your past and future prayers as I travel. I pray all the best for you as you continue to share the love of Christ through all the ups and downs of ministry.

God bless you, my friend.
